Final Conference in Valencia, Spain  Jul 7, 2016

  • IDIPOWER final conference was held at the Polytechnic University of Valencia on July 7th. This event provided the opportunity for consortium partners & now friends for future, AMICA (Spain, project leader), COPAVA (Spain), CERCIOEIRAS (Portugal), HURT (Croatia), CUDV DRAGA (Slovenia) and IAT (Germany) to present what was done in the past 2 years of project implementation. Thomas Castillo, president of AMICA, presented the methodological innovation of this project: collaborative learning and interactive online platform as a result of exchange of good practices and knowledge among consortium partners. This will have an impact on ensuring better quality of life and full participation in daily life of the community for persons with disability. Montse Ramos, president of COPAVA gave thanks to project partners who worked on the project as well as he has stated his hope for future European projects. The AMICA representative presented the project process from its begging, through various meetings of consortium partners in different countries, giving cultural depth to the project, to project activities which gave opportunity to exchange good practices among partners in their own area of expertise. German Institute of Technology presented IDIPOWER online platform, its accessibility and content. In addition, persons with disabilities and families presented testimonies of good practices on independent living and participation in management bodies. Also, the rest of partners had the opportunity to present examples of good practices as socially responsible organisation development by HURT, inclusive sex education video by CERCIOEIRAS, the restaurant management by persons with disabilities Druga violina by CUDV DRAGA. Project partners would like to extend their gratitude for collaboration in organization & participation in this event to third sector organizations in the Valencian Community, especially to the Valencian Institute of Social Action, Vice President for Social Responsibility, Cooperation and Sport, Polytechnic University of Valencia and UPV.
